Many of NEET qualified students who registered online for admission to medical and dental colleges in 2023 had to receive the ₹30 lakh security fund. To keep in mind, a camp will be conducted at Nehru Medical College on 27th February, 2025 for fund distribution. The main representative and the officials from the Medical Education Department and the bank will be present at the event.

Security fund not returned for two years

Even after two years a Reputated private bank has failed to return the security fund to medical students. The bank blames the delay to the counseling agency’s negligence and the agency claims the bank is responsible for the delay. Frustrated students have been repeatedly visiting the bank and the DME office in Nava Raipur without getting money.

The DME office took it seriously and had requested to submit the details from students. Although many are still awaiting their refunds. The pending amounts range from ₹5,000 to ₹1 lakh. In 2023, ₹21.86 crore was due to be refunded to 5,184 students. And it is a big amount to return the students. But DME ordered to return the amount as soon as possible.
