NEW DELHI: JEE Mains 2025 is likely to require general category candidates to achieve around the 94 percentile to become eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. This estimate comes from expert evaluations based on the exams conducted so far, considering the overall difficulty and emerging patterns.
The JEE Main April 3 exam was held in two shifts with noticeable differences in difficulty levels reported by candidates. Those who appeared in the second shift rated the paper as moderately difficult to tough, mentioning that while Physics and Maths were manageable, Chemistry posed significant challenges. On the other hand, candidates in the first shift found the exam comparatively easier with Physics and Maths falling in the easy to moderate range and Chemistry being very easy.
Given the varied difficulty across shifts, experts noted that determining a precise cutoff score has been difficult. To maintain fairness, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will apply a normalization process across all sessions. The agency is expected to publish the final JEE Main April session results, including the JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff and All India Ranks by April 17 on its official website.
