NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will upload the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2025) information bulletin today at 3 PM on the official website, natboard.edu.in. GPAT 2025 registration will commence on April 1 and the last date to apply is April 21.
Last month, NBEMS announced that the GPAT 2025 exam will be conducted on May 25. The exam aims to provide admission to MPharm courses and award scholarships to qualified candidates. Initially, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducted the GPAT in 2010 under the direction of the Ministry of Education. However, from 2019 to 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) took over the responsibility for conducting the exam.
Applicants from the General, OBC and EWS categories will be required to pay a registration fee of ₹3,500, while candidates from SC, ST and PwD categories will pay ₹2,500.
GPAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates meeting the following criteria will be eligible for the GPAT entrance exam:
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Candidates should have completed a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy after Class 12 including lateral entry students from a recognized university.
- Final-year or 4th-year students can also apply.
- Candidates with a BE, BTech in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology or equivalent qualifications are not eligible.
Exam Pattern
The GPAT 2025 question paper will comprise 125 questions carrying 500 marks in total. The distribution of questions will be as follows:
- 38 questions from pharmaceutical chemistry and allied subjects
- 38 questions from pharmaceutics and allied subjects
- 28 questions from pharmacology
- 10 questions from pharmacognosy
- 11 questions from other subjects of BPharm
