CBSE Dismisses 2025 Exam Paper Leak Rumors, Warns of Legal Action Against Misinformation

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed rumors of a CBSE board exam paper leak, calling them “baseless” claims designed to create unnecessary panic among students and parents. This clarification follows the viral spread of a video by Alakh Pandey, founder of PhysicsWallah, titled ‘CBSE board exam 2025 paper out,’ circulating on social media.

In the video, Pandey invites students to join his four-day classes starting February 16, where he promises to discuss the most anticipated questions for the CBSE 2025 board exams. He also claims to have knowledge of the people setting the CBSE exam papers and expresses confidence that they will include his questions.

The CBSE is scheduled to conduct the Class 12 Physics exam on February 21, Chemistry on February 27, and Biology on March 25, according to the official exam date sheet.

The video has gained significant attention, accumulating hundreds of likes, and has been widely shared. In response, CBSE issued a circular addressing the misinformation and reaffirming its commitment to maintaining exam integrity.

The board stated that it is actively monitoring social media platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), where certain individuals have been spreading false rumors about paper leaks or claiming access to the 2025 exam question papers. CBSE assured the public that it is taking action against those responsible for disseminating false information.

Additionally, CBSE has announced its intention to pursue legal action against the offenders, including students involved in spreading rumors. The board emphasized that strict disciplinary actions would be taken in accordance with the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

CBSE urged parents to advise their children not to engage with unverified information and clarified that all official updates regarding the exams will be posted on the CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, and verified public channels.
