New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has allowed schools to correct student details in the registration form. This helps in giving correct results and mark sheets to students. Schools can make changes from April 9 to April 17, 2025. They need to pay ₹1,000 for each correction to their regional CBSE office.
CBSE Correction Window 2025: Editable Student Details
During the correction period, schools can update the following details:
- Swap the mother’s and father’s names if entered incorrectly
- Change or update the student’s photo
- Correct the date of birth (with valid documents and as per CBSE rules)
- Update the “Single Child” status
- Fix the gender if entered wrong
- Correct small spelling mistakes in the mother’s or father’s names
CBSE Correction 2025: Final Reminder for Schools
CBSE has made it clear that schools cannot allow category changes, such as switching from General to OBC.
The board opened this correction window because many schools gave wrong details, even though they were asked to double-check the information before submitting it. Later, these schools asked CBSE to fix the mistakes, which led to this chance for corrections.
CBSE has clearly said it will not accept any corrections after April 17, 2025. The final details schools submit will be used to prepare students’ mark sheets and results.
The board also asked all schools to make sure that students’ name spellings, date of birth, and other details match the school records, like the admission register.
