The UPTAC counselling authority conducts admissions to B.Tech and other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by technical institutes across Uttar Pradesh. As per the tentative schedule released by UPTAC, counselling for 2026 admissions will be held in multiple rounds, with Round 1 choice filling starting shortly. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official UPTAC website regularly, as the dates mentioned below are tentative and subject to change.
Registration and Document Verification
Registration, fee payment, document upload, and document verification for UPTAC 2026 counselling have already been completed. Candidates who missed registering in the first round will not get another opportunity, as fresh registration is not permitted in Rounds 2, 3 or 4.

- Online Choice Filling and Locking: 31 July 2026 to 3 August 2026
- Seat Allotment: 5 August 2026
- Payment of Seat Confirmation Fee (Rs 20,000 / Rs 12,000): 5 August 2026 to 8 August 2026

How to Fill and Lock Choices for UPTAC 2026
- Log in to the UPTAC counselling portal using your registered credentials.
- Go to the choice filling section and select preferred colleges and courses.
- Arrange the selected choices in order of preference.
- Review the choices carefully, as locked choices in Round 3 will apply to subsequent rounds as well.
- Lock the choices before the deadline for the respective round.
